The Girl Who Silenced the World for 5 Minutes
At the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio 1992, 20 years ago, a girl made a well-known speech. It still gives me the shivers.
My question is - will the Rio+20 Conference present someone else to take her place? Will History repreat itself?
"If a child on the streets, who has nothing, is willing to share. Why are we, who have everything, still so greedy?"
